Meynard, 08 Jul 2022For phone buyers The cooling system is just a joke and marketing It wont cool your phone... more You are working for Apple and you are trying to sell IOS phones ? :)) If not then go and do some research about gaming on Iphones first , before you talk bullshit. I got an Iphone and after 30 mins of intensive gaming it overheats so bad that it becomes anoying to hold it in the hands. (heats up to 70 °C ) I also have an asus rog phone 6 , and after more then 30 mins of intensive gaming without the external cooler ( I did not buy that one ) it goes up to a maximum of 50 °C . And also runs more smooth then the Iphone 13 pro.

I still don't understand why that was a highlight thing to brag about. Also why would you use 1mm thick copper plate? Even placing a 0.2mm copper sheet would highly improve heat conductivity.
For phone buyers The cooling system is just a joke and marketing It wont cool your phone efficiently. Because in order to do that. Hardware is just 1 part, but software also needed to be optimized and this is the biggest part ( software is the soul) Without software optimization its like buying cool fancy clothes and fitting it an ugly fat body. Stop wasting money with android. Ios is more efficient and powerful compared to android. Hardware and software is optimized to run smoothly and efficiently. Developers knows this and thats why they develop ios software apps/games first.

It's a far worse conductor than pyrolytic graphite and it's WAY too heavy and expensive. A 1mm slab of copper in a phone would nearly double its weight and not have a big cost advantage either. That's why it's aluminum, vapor channel, or pyrolytic graphite.

Hell, most people don't even game that long on phones. Point of vapor chambers is to widen the surface area of tiny chips and prolong the time before heat saturation happens as whole phone heats up.

At the smartphone level, any passive cooling, including the vapor chamber, does not have a significant effect. Devices claiming to reduce heat only increase benchmark stability by raising the upper throttling temperature limit, resulting in the device becoming untouchable. This is by no means the right direction.
Will the cable snaf off easily like its predecessor?
[deleted post] Genshin is a Chinese game but the pronunciation is taken from its Japanese name. Now get lost, racist.

Not to mention most of them aren't even that great. Everyone hyping "graphite sheets" like an ultimate cooling solution. Graphite/graphene sheets are only good because they aren't dirty like thermal paste and machine applies it easier, but graphite sheets need high pressure to have good contact and their heat conduction is very planar. Meaning heat travels super fast along the length of sheets, but very poorly through its (very thin) thickness. Or how some companies were advertising "stainless steel vapor chamber" as something amazing and special and all I could think was what a stupid choice of materials. Stainless steel is very poor for heat transmission compared to copper or aluminium. Aluminium has 4x higher head conductivity, copper has 8x higher heat conductivity. Why not just use a regular copper vapor chamber then?! I bet most phones would be fine if someone just slapped a simple copper sheet and quality thermal paste. And it would also cost way less, but wouldn't sell great on paper... Because in most cases, they don't even have that...
